June

• June 29-1: To Japan and Back Summer Camp

  Konichiwa!  Come with us on an art adventure as we explore the Japanese art of Shibori.  We will be utilizing shibori techniques to band & paint a vase, dyeing a shibori mokume design on a t-shirt, and making a hanging kimono & fortune cookie with wet clay and stamps.  Let’s explore! Sylvan will be offering their camp Multiply & Divide for grades 3-5 from 3-5 p.m. at Creative Clay.

July   

• Sat. 3rd:  Studio is closed in observance of the 4th of July.
• Mon 5th:  We will be open from 12 to 4 p.m.
• July 6-8:  Over the Rainbow

  Can you say COLOR!  Color is all around and affects our lives, even our moods.  We will be exploring color and texture as we paint a color blocked and stamped plate, use wax and stamps to adorn a bowl, and learn how to tie dye a heart shape on a shirt using the three primary colors, but you will be left with a rainbow.  Just follow the yellow brick road to creative fun!  Sylvan will be offering their camp Fraction Action for grades 3-5 from 3-5 p.m. at Creative Clay.

• Fri 9th:  We will be closed all day.

• Mon 12th:  We will be open from 12-4.

• Wed 14th:  Wet Clay Day 11-3 p.m.  Come in and create with clay!  Just follow a few easy guidelines while creating your project and have fun!  We'll fire them to bisqueware and you can come back and paint however you would like!  *Note-This is not a class* Pricing depends on lbs of clay used, size and use of materials.  Way fun!  RSVP

• Thurs 15th:  Adult Glass Fusing Class 6 p.m.   Get your creative juices flowing with this fun and easy new art medium.  Your finished piece will be a beautiful functional addition to your home decor. And don't forget that fused glass pendents make gorgeous necklaces.  Class fee is $15 plus the price of your chosen glass piece.   RSVP

• Fri 16th: Mid-Month Love.  We're halfway through June, the sun's shining more and we want to spread some love around.  Paint and finish two pieces today and receive 20% off your 2nd piece of equal or lesser value. (Both pieces have to be finished by same painter to qualify).

• Mon 19th: Wet Clay Mirrors

  We'll use the slabroller, add texture, color fire and lastly place the mirror.  Way too cute!

• July 20-22:  Under the Sea Jr. Art Camp

  Have you ever dreamt of life as a mermaid?  We have!  Let’s explore life under the sea together.  We will paint a mermaid figure, use our handprint to make a mermaid, make a wet clay fish and read a book about mermaids. Splish, splash-it’s lots of fun!  

  Ages 4-6.            Date July 20-22
  Time 10-11 a.m.      Adult Supervision Required.

July 20-22:  Great Balls of Fire Jr. Art Camp

Here yee, here ye. . .we are inviting all brave knights of the round table to take part in some dragon art-if you dare!  It will be a dangerous journey of painting a dragon, using your handprint to make a dragon, making a wet clay dragon and reading a book about dragons. 

Ages 4-6.       Date July 20-22

Time 1-2 p.m.     Adult Supervision Required.
Cost $55 or $50 w/multi discount.

 

July 20-22 Peace * Love * Pottery                  Celebrate the summer of love with some groovy art.  We will be making a one of a kind plate featuring tie-dye or a floral peace sign; making a set of three hanging  tiles with the symbols of peace, love, and happiness; and learning how to tie dye a peace sign on a shirt.  Can you dig it!

Ages 9            Cost $65 or $60 w/multi discount plus tax

Night Owl Session July 20-22     Time 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

 

Fri 23rd: Date Night 5 p.m. to close.  It's time for some creative love!  And it's true, big boys like to paint too.  Two adult painters get 10% off. (Sorry, it's not a date if you bring the kids). 

 

Mon 26th:  Tie-Dye Double Header- The Edge & Peace Sign

July 27-29:  Let the Sunshine 

What do you get when you mix earth, wind, water, fire and the sun?  One cool art camp!  We will be decorating a frame with cut outs, water, and wind; using fire and earth to make a bowl; and using the sun to decorate a shirt. A little mystery and a lot of art is always fun.  Sylvan will be offering their camp Sum Fun! for ages 1-3 from 3-5 p.m. at Creative Clay.

Ages 7+    Date July 27-29    
Time 12:45 p.m.-2:45 p.m.        Cost $65 or $60 w/multi discount plus tax   

 

Fri 30th:  Ladies Night 5-8 p.m.    It's time!  Once a month we stay open late for you ladies to get your painting on. So, call your girlfriends and get the babysitter so you can enjoy some "me" time with your friends.  Get a 15% discount on up to three pieces.  RSVP
